67 Speed Challenge is a free browser game: perform as many alternating “67” hand pumps as you can in about 20 seconds. This guide gets a first-time player from cold start to a fair scored run—including the mistakes that silently destroy rep counts.
1. What you need
- A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari)
- For webcam mode: a camera + permission + decent front light
- For keyboard mode: only keys 6 and 7
- Optional: headphones for audio feedback (toggle sound in the footer)
No app install. Open 67game.store, wait for assets to load, pick a mode, start.
2. Webcam mode — first successful run
- Select webcam hand tracking on the start screen
- Allow camera access when the browser prompts
- Confirm the live preview shows your upper body and both hands
- Turn palms toward the lens; start slow alternating pumps
- When tracking looks stable, go for a full timed run
Stand or sit about 60–100 cm away. If status shows WAITING, fix light and framing before speed. Full lab: webcam setup.
3. Keyboard mode — 6 and 7
Alternate tapping 6 and 7 as evenly as possible for the whole round. Use this when cameras are unavailable or unreliable. Details: keyboard vs webcam.
4. Scoring in plain language
Each valid rep adds points. Sustained high reps-per-second raises a combo level that multiplies points (10 → 20 → 35 → 60 per rep at higher bands). A collapsing rhythm drops you out of high combo even if early seconds looked great. Deep dive: combo & scoring.
5. First-session plan (15 minutes)
- Warm wrists (see safety)
- Two easy calibration runs
- Three serious runs with rest
- Write one note: light / frame / tempo / fatigue
- Stop while form is still clean
6. Common beginner mistakes
| Mistake | Why it hurts | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Backlight window | Silhouette hands | Face the light |
| Too close | Hands leave frame | Step back; smaller pumps |
| Fists / edge-on palms | Weak landmarks | Open palms to camera |
| Both hands together | Not alternating pattern | Left/right (or up/down) alternation |
| Max speed from second 0 | Chaos, missed peaks | Build for 1–2s then push |
| Fighting bad camera all night | Teaches panic | Switch to keyboard |
7. Browsers & devices
Chromium-based desktops are the most predictable for camera + WebGL. Phones work for many players but heat and small frames are harder. If performance stutters, close other tabs and try keyboard mode for fair practice.
8. Privacy, kids, and accounts
Hand tracking for gameplay runs on-device in the browser. Leaderboard names are optional. Guardians should decide camera use for children—see family section and Privacy Policy.
Reading the start screen
After assets load, you will see mode buttons for webcam vs keyboard, a short gesture hint, and the main start control. Language can be switched in the header. Sound can be toggled in the footer without leaving the page. Links to About, Guide, Blog, Privacy, Terms, and Contact stay visible for trust and learning—use them when you are not mid-run.
After the run
The results screen shows reps, score, and max combo context. If you hit a local high score path, you may enter a callsign for the global board (letters/spaces). You can always skip submission and still enjoy the game. Restart for another attempt or change mode if the environment fought you.
Learning path after day one
- Skim scoring so you stop optimizing the wrong number
- Run the setup checklist once with intention
- Follow days 1–3 of the plan
- Read engine notes if you like knowing why
